About Jim Heid
I help YOU develop your personal, professional, or corporate Strategic Plan by carefully listening to your story (both spoken and unspoken), helping you seek flourishing, initiating meaningful conversations and converting words into actions which align with your core values.
I am a family physician with over 30 years of experience walking patients through all stages of life, including coaching women through the birth of around 1000 babies, and helping people maximize their health. As a coach, I bring that same committed to your success, both personally and professionally. Working together, we create an environment where you can safely engage in self-discovery. When clients arrive with honesty and transparency, they depart with more peace and purpose. I am your partner in achieving a life of perseverance and thriving.

Along the way, I provide consistent support and accountability, helping you create lasting, positive change across your career, relationships, and overall well-being.
Everything we discuss remains strictly confidential. I hold our conversations in the highest regard, creating a safe, judgment-free space where you can explore openly and grow with complete trust.
My Top 5 Strengths
Input
I collect information, not to have and hold onto, but to use in service of others.
As a physician, this means taking a thorough medical history, performing a physical exam, drawing on insights from my practice and ongoing study of medicine. I use this information to arrive at a diagnosis, and then building a meaningful and individualized treatment plan for each patient.
As a coach, the process is remarkably similar, but with a twist. I ask questions about the “symptoms” of the problem, then follow up with probing questions, like performing an exam. Here’s where coaching differs: the client arrives at their own diagnosis and crafts their own treatment plan.

Activator
Analysis is useful only up to a point, but action is what counts. Why? Because, for me, acting is a form of thinking. I help individuals and groups move from overthinking into motion, breaking through analysis paralysis so they can take that next real step forward.
Communication
I put my thoughts easily into words. I help clients put thoughts into words and those words into action. I connect easily with my clients and help them process what has them stuck.
Connectedness
I see how events are related – connecting the dots between seemingly unrelated events, finding deeper meaning in events than most people. I also help build bridges between people by emphasizing what they have in common.
Belief
I have unchanging core values which define what I do, and why I do it. I bring clarity and conviction to others as I help them identify their core values, and bring their life into alignment with those values, which brings stability and productivity, while decreasing stress.
